Motorola M8600i Series

The Motorola M8600i series and the M8668i model share a core set of digital features designed for professional mobile use. Both radios utilize MOTOTRBO technology to provide high-quality digital voice and data communication. Key features common to both include integrated Wi-Fi which allows for remote software updates without the need for a physical cable connection. They also feature Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless audio accessories and data sharing

For safety, both models (M8600i and M8668i) includes a prominent emergency button, Lone Worker alerts, and Transmit Interrupt capability to prioritize critical messages. They are built to rugged MIL-STD 810 standards and have an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. The audio performance is enhanced by Intelligent Audio, which automatically adjusts the volume based on background noise, and a 3W internal speaker.

The specific M8668i model is distinguished by its full-color alphanumeric display and four programmable buttons, whereas other models in the M8600i series may have numeric-only displays or fewer controls. The M8668i also features integrated GNSS (GPS and GLONASS) for precise location tracking and supports text messaging and work order ticketing directly on the screen. Both units are compatible with various trunking systems like IP Site Connect and Capacity Plus to extend coverage across multiple sites or larger groups of users.
