The HX210 6W Compact Floating Marine Handheld Transceiver features a high capacity (1850Ah) internal Lithium Ion battery, which has allowed for a smaller and more ergonomic case to be built around it. The case itself is buoyant and waterproof to 1 metre for 30 minutes and is designed to float face up if dropped overboard.
There is also a water-activated strobe light on the cover, allowing the radio – or the person attached to it – to be found at night. The new model boasts one of the largest screens in its class, delivering a higher resolution display for crisp dot-matrix readouts, and a super-bright (yet dimmable) backlit LCD screen. Transmit power can be toggled between 1W, 2.5W and 6W, depending on local requirements.
This VHF handheld features a Compact design which is light enough to float face up if dropped in the water. This VHF Radio is waterproof in up to 1 meter for 30 minutes (Submersible IPX7 Waterproof rating).
Another great feature of the HX210 VHF Handheld is that if the radio is submerged in water an emergency strobe light is automatically activated, even if the device is powered off. The strobe can be reconfigured to flash on and off, flash SOS, or set to stay on continuously.
In addition to the dedicated Channel 16 for distress calls in an emergency, the HX210 has allocated USA, International and Canadian channels.
The HX210 boasts one of the largest displays in a compact and affordable handheld VHF. This large high resolution dot matrix LCD display makes the information easy to read while a backlight ensures information can also be easily read at night.
The HX210 operates with high capacity 1850 mAh Li-Ion batteries.
For music lovers the HX210 even has an expanded receiver allowing you to tune in to your favourite FM radio station. The radio will receive FM broadcast bands between 76 MHz to 108 MHz.
